Halo Landfall is a tantalising look at what could have been. We mentioned earlier that Neill Blomkamp was set to make a full-length Halo movie and while that was still a possibility, he made this short live-action film that gave us a look at what we would have been in for had his film idea gone ahead.

All you need do is grab some hamburger and smoothie as we take a ride on a journey on ways on how to download movies on iPhone and hey, carefully reading in between the lines and you just get to earn yourself a little something for being such a meticulous reader!

On October 26, 2007, all three films were edited together into one seven-minute mini-movie, and were released simultaneously on Bungie.net and Xbox Live Marketplace. The mini-movie is titled Halo: Landfall.[4]

Many have wondered, what was the movie like? What was it about? Now we finally know. The entire script for the film has appeared online and it is absolutely excellent. The film was titled simply 'Halo' and is an adaptation of the original game Halo: Combat Evolved. It has all the iconic story beats and moments from the original game, with some additional story.

Before the Halo TV Series, there were other Halo live-action movies Made with real actors, these are probably the closest we get to a real Halo movie. There are two feature-length films, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and Halo: Nightfall, as well as numerous shorts. This is the complete list of all live-action Halo movies in order of release.

What we heard: In June 2006, unconfirmed reports claimed that famed filmmaker Steven Spielberg was in talks to direct a World of Warcraft movie--a gig Spider-Man director Sam Raimi would land three years later. In October 2006, another top-selling game, Halo, would see its planned film adaptation put on indefinite hold and its would-be executive producer, Lord of the Rings helmer Peter Jackson, move on to new projects.

The official story: "We're glad there's still a lot of enthusiasm in the entertainment industry surrounding the idea of a Halo movie. That said, the Halo feature film remains on hold as we focus on projects like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. We have nothing further to share with respect to plans regarding a Halo movie." -- Microsoft rep.

Saved Films can be uploaded to a player's Bungie.net account that can exceed the 100 Film Maximum. Users will also be able to view other players' Films from the site and can flag a video to download the next time they start Halo 3 on their console, as well as recommend films to their friends.

One of Kyle's earliest memories is of watching his older brother play Ocarina of Time, which probably explains how he ended up as an Editor for Screen Rant's Gaming section. His tenure at SR began in late 2020 as a contributing Game Features writer before quickly becoming a Staff Writer, a role that gradually progressed into an Editor position. A terminal Midwesterner who graduated from the University of Kansas, Kyle also has knowledge and interest in literature, film, film adaptions of literature, and history. When not talking about The Legend of Zelda, Dark Souls, Mass Effect, or some PlayStation exclusive, he's probably droning on about the works of Cormac McCarthy, Frank Herbert, Stanley Kubrick, and Wes Anderson. Or he's trying to get you to watch Mad Men. He's a firm believer in three hours being the perfect length for a movie, but thinks a lot of games are much too long. When not sedentary, Kyle enjoys traveling to the National Parks, seeing new cities, and has ambitions to explore abroad.

The South African filmmaker is no stranger to the Halo franchise. After working on Halo Landfall, the collective name of the shorts he shot, Blomkamp was tapped to direct the live-action Halo movie. The film was set to stick closely to the narrative of Halo: Combat Evolved, the ground-breaking 2001 shooter. Yet creative differences between Blomkamp and the film's producers and a fall-out between the movies' studios (Fox, Universal and Microsoft) led to the film's cancellation.

After production on the Halo movie fell through, Blomkamp went on to produce several major sci-fi blockbusters. His most notable film, District 9, went on to receive several Academy Award nominations. He also directed 2013's Elysium and 2015's Chappie. His latest film, Demonic, launched on Aug. 20.
